See food rescue in action during Welly’s Local Food Week!
Have you ever wondered about how food rescue works? Come on down to the Kaibosh Open Day on 8 March between 2-6pm at 11 Hopper Street, Mount Cook, Wellington.
Check out our Facebook event listing for updates.
- Find out about our food rescue programme & take a peak in our chillers
- Learn about our mahi and how we’re helping to reduce food insecurity in Te Whanganui a Tara, connecting kai with the community
- Talk to our team about upcoming volunteering opportunities – weekdays and weekends
- Have a try on a Smoothie Bike to make your own drink from fruit that would otherwise go to waste!
Are you a food business? Or work or volunteer for a community group? Please come to our special tours of Kaibosh at 12noon or 1pm on 8 March – more info below. RSVP to book a spot!
SPECIAL TOURS FOR FOOD BUSINESSES – 8 March
We are also inviting food businesses and our partner organisations to come for a special small group tour of Kaibosh at 12noon or 1pm on 8 March (before we open to the wider public from 2pm).
This is a chance to see first-hand what a tonne of locally rescued surplus food looks like, as we sort, check and pack ready for distribution. Kaibosh staff will be on hand to answer your questions and share information about our mahi, the positive impacts we are making in the community and how we work with food donors. These are 30 minute tours at 12 noon and 1:00pm, 8 March.
BOOKINGS ESSENTIAL: email to RSVP@kaibosh.org.nz with your preferred time.
