Trustee
From her beginnings as a cardiac nurse and through 30 years of working in public health Michelle has strived to eliminate inequities in health and to improve Māori outcomes. Her career in health spans policy, research, service design and system reform, with Māori health equity at the centre. As a proud mum and nanny to five preschool moko and with more on the way, Michelle’s vision, scholarship, and enduring commitment is to better health outcomes for whānau and hāpori.
Michelle describes her role as a trustee of Kaibosh as something that ‘fills her mauri cup’ and she feels privileged to work alongside like-minded people with a passion for both the taiao and for finding sustainable ways of supporting and enabling whānau to access quality and nutritious kai.
