On Monday 1 May, we're launching Make a Meal in May, our annual fundraising appeal. The idea is simple – get together with friends, family or workmates to share food, and donate to Kaibosh what you would have spent on a meal out.

The food Kaibosh rescues has a ripple effect in our community. It’s given out through more than 50 organisations around the Wellington region, where it ends up reaching thousands of people.

Now that we're well-established in the Hutt Valley, Kaibosh is looking for more volunteers to help with food rescue and food sorting. We talked to our volunteers Louise and Noel Lee to find out why they joined the team.

After an unusual few months following our post-earthquake displacement, we're happy to say Kaibosh's Wellington branch has found a new home in Mount Cook.

Kaibosh has officially launched its Lower Hutt branch, hosting an event on Thursday evening to thank its many supporters for their contribution to getting the award-winning food rescue organisation’s second branch up and running.

Since launching Food Rescue Heroes in November 2015, Kaibosh has raised the funds to provide the equivalent of 5,500 meals to Wellingtonians in need. The Food Rescue Heroes supporters’ programme sees Kaibosh teaming up with popular local businesses that offer special deals to regular donors.

This Christmas, our friends at Garage Project are making it easy for you to donate by the pint. From 12pm this Saturday 12 December, 12 kegs of Garage Project beer will be pouring at 12 local bars – with all proceeds shared between Kaibosh and Room at the Inn.
