Credit or Debit card options available as well as bank transfer.
Donations of $5 or more are tax deductible. Kaibosh is a registered charity (CC38367) with the Charities Commission. If you opt in to receive our newsletter, we’ll share regular updates about how your donation is making an impact.
Why your donation matters
Last year, Kaibosh rescued and redistributed over 900,000 kilograms of good quality food — 2 million meals worth — across Wellington, Hutt Valley, Kāpiti, Horowhenua and Porirua.
Demand for food support continues to grow, and we’re hard working to rescue even more good food to meet the need.
Thank you for helping us make a practical difference for people in our region and for Papatūānuku.
Nāu te rourou, nāku te rourou, ka ora te iwi.
With your food basket and my food basket, the people will thrive.

One Percent Collective
This is a simple and rewarding way for people to support New Zealand charities (including us) by regularly giving little amounts to causes they care about.

The impact of every dollar
In 24/25 year it cost us $1.38, to rescue 1 kilogram of food – we reckon that is pretty good value.
That kilogram:
- Becomes nourishing meals for whānau
- Is re-distributed at no cost to charities and community groups therefore reducing their costs.
- Prevents edible food from going to landfill
- Cuts greenhouse gas emissions
Together, we can ensure good food feeds people — not landfill.
Donate today and help rescue more food for our community.
Are donations tax-deductible?
Yes. Kaibosh Food Rescue is a registered New Zealand charity.
Donations of $5 or more are eligible for a tax credit from Inland Revenue (IRD). We will provide a receipt so you can claim your rebate.
What does my donation actually pay for?

Yes please. Monthly donations provide reliable funding that helps us plan ahead and respond to rising demand.
Even a smaller regular gift creates sustained impact over time.
Can I donate in someone’s name or in memory of someone?
Yes. You can make a gift in honour or in memory of someone special. Please let us know at the time of donation if you would like this acknowledged.
Will my donation go directly to people in need?
Kaibosh does not distribute food directly to individuals.
Instead, we deliver rescued food to over 160 community partners who provide frontline services and support to throusands of people every week across our region.

Your donation supports our ongoing daily operations — including paid drivers, vehicles, warehousing, fuel, food safety compliance and volunteer coordination.

Can I specify what my donation can be used for, or in a specific region?
This is possible – although it makes our lives easy for yoru donation to be used for general operating expenses. If you specifically want it to go to something in particular, our systems do have the capability to make this happen.
If you want to make a larger one off donation to help us secure a certain item (Truck, site), then please reach out to support@kaibosh.org.nz and we can make your wish come true (and ours).
Is my personal information secure?
