Leave a Lasting Legacy with Kaibosh
He taonga te kai – food is precious
When you include a gift to Kaibosh Food Rescue in your Will, you are helping ensure that good food continues to nourish our communities long into the future.
Why leave a gift in your Will?
Food insecurity is rising across Aotearoa. Climate events, cost-of-living pressures, and housing stress mean more whānau are turning to community organisations for support. At the same time, perfectly good food continues to be discarded. Kaibosh exists to bridge that gap.
In the 2023/2024 financial year alone, Kaibosh:
- Rescue on average 75,000 kilograms of food every month.
- Provided the equivalent of 2.1 million meals worth of food a year.
- Prevented 2+ million kgs of CO₂ equivalent emissions a year.
- Supported 160+ charities and the thousands of people they work withhelp across the Greater Wellington region.
Demand continues to grow. A gift in your Will helps us ensure that this essential service continues uninterrupted — sustainably, ethically, and locally.

Your bequest will help:
Rescue more high-quality surplus food
Support our network of community partners
Reduce food waste and climate impact
Invest in resilient local food systems
Strengthen food security for future generations
