Since 2008, we’ve been rescuing good, quality surplus food for people who need it. With the help from 240+ Kaibosh volunteers, over 2 million meals worth of kai is distributed every year to communities in Wellington, Hutt Valley, Porirua, Kāpiti and Horowhenua.

Now, in 2025 traditional funding for food rescue is down while community need for food support is higher than ever.

Ways to get involved

Bring your team together this May to help us stop food waste and rescue more kai for families.

Every $60 donated to Kaibosh during May will help us redistribute enough kai to feed a family of four for a week.
