Volunteers are at the heart of our work. In just a couple of hours a week you can make a real difference, helping to reduce food poverty and food waste in our communities.
Over 230 dedicated volunteers help Kaibosh Food Rescue at our three sites in Te Whanganui-a-Tara, Te Awa Kairangai – Hutt Valley and Kāpiti. Our service for the community couldn’t work without them and we’re grateful to have so many wonderful people involved!
“I can give something back to the community by volunteering here. Kaibosh reduces waste and at the same time helps people in need. The working atmosphere here is awesome and dynamic.” – Monique, Kaibosh volunteer
We have a range of individual volunteer roles at our three sites – from Food Sorting and Weekend Market Food Rescue as part of a team, to Food Rescue Driver Support and Kitchen Food Prep. Current openings are listed below.
Please consider making a commitment of at least 6 months volunteering with us, due to the time spent with your induction and training.
Note, for organisations or groups: please get in touch with us to find out about other ways your team can support Kaibosh.
