Make a Meal in May & fundraise at School

Would your school like to help Kaibosh & help your community?

Getting your class involved in Make a Meal in May is a fun and hands-on way for students to learn about food rescue and talk about sustainability.

Students can come up with their own plan of how it could work, but here are a few ideas:

  • Hold a fundraising sausage sizzle or bake sale
  • Have a shared lunch
  • Bring ingredients and make lunch together
  • Make lunch for another class
  • Get your food tech friends involved – take on World Potato Day on 30 May!

Other ideas – zero waste stalls or events

  • Host a clothes swap? Koha entry – people bring in clean good condition clothes and swap!
  • Get teachers and whānau involved! Can they help you run an evening event?

Register your event in 2025 & you could win a prize

Register your fundraising event – tell us about your cool ideas! You can let us know if you’d like some resources from Kaibosh – a video, posters, or social media images?

Then donate funds raised at your event to Kaibosh by 20 June, to go in the draw for a $500 voucher from DoorDash! Some nice spot prizes will be up for grabs during May too.
